A WhatsApp chatbot for business: automated replies without code

How to build a WhatsApp bot that answers, asks and routes customers to the right team — with buttons and lists, and not a line of code.

Why a WhatsApp bot?

Half the messages any company receives are repeat questions: hours, prices, address, order status. A bot answers those instantly, around the clock, and leaves your team the questions that need a person.

What a bot can do

  • Greet a customer the first time they write.
  • Send buttons or a list to choose from (sales, support, order status).
  • Start a flow when a customer types a keyword such as "price" or "offer".
  • Wait for the customer’s answer and continue by their choice.
  • Hand the conversation to an agent when it needs a person.
  • Reply outside working hours and say when someone will answer.

Building it without code

In FASLA CLOUD you draw the bot as a flow: a message, buttons under it, and each button leading to a step. There is a starting point (a customer’s first message or a keyword) and steps to send a message, buttons or a list, wait, branch on the answer, and hand off to an agent.

Start
A new customer’s first message, or a keyword
Messages
Text, buttons, a list, or an approved template
Logic
Wait for the reply and branch on the customer’s choice
End
Hand off to the responsible agent, or end the flow

A simple store bot

  • First message ← the bot greets and shows three buttons: "Products & prices", "My order", "Talk to someone".
  • "Products & prices" ← a list of sections ← the section link.
  • "My order" ← the bot asks for the order number ← hand off to the shipping agent.
  • "Talk to someone" ← straight to the support team.

Tips so the bot does not annoy customers

  • Keep it short: two or three steps, then a person.
  • Always include a "Talk to someone" button.
  • Write the way your customers talk.
  • Review conversations weekly and improve the flow.
