Ready WhatsApp Business message examples: marketing and utility templates that get approved
Ready WhatsApp template examples to adapt and submit to Meta: welcome, order confirmation, shipping, appointment reminders, offers and win-backs — with tips to get approved first time.
Before the examples: four rules for approval
- Categorise correctly: utility for anything about the customer’s order or account, marketing for any offer or promotion.
- Keep variables such as {{1}} inside a sentence, with enough text around them to make their meaning clear.
- Write plainly, without exaggerated promises or lots of symbols.
- Any link should point to your own website or official page.
Utility examples
- Order confirmation
- Hi {{1}}, we received your order and will ship it within two days. Reply "OK" to confirm or tell us what to change.
- Out for delivery
- Hi {{1}}, your order is out with the courier and arrives today. If you are away, send us a better time.
- Appointment reminder
- Hi {{1}}, a reminder of your appointment on {{2}} at {{3}}. Reply here to reschedule.
- Payment receipt
- Hi {{1}}, we received your payment of {{2}}. Thank you.
- Service request update
- Hi {{1}}, service request {{2}} is now: {{3}}.
Marketing examples
- Limited offer
- Hi {{1}}, {{2}} off everything until {{3}}. Reply "Yes" and we will send the details.
- New product
- Hi {{1}}, {{2}} is now in. Shall we send you photos and prices?
- Win-back
- We miss you, {{1}}! Here is {{2}} off your next order until the end of the month.
- Abandoned cart
- Hi {{1}}, your items are still in your cart. Shall we complete the order together?
Marketing costs much more than utility — do not label an offer as utility; Meta recategorises it, and it is better to be upfront.
The welcome message needs no template
When the customer writes first, your reply inside the 24-hour window is free-form. So welcome messages and after-hours replies are ordinary replies or a bot, not templates.
Submitting a template
In FASLA CLOUD you write the template, set its category, language and variables, submit it to Meta from inside the platform and follow its status. Once approved, use it in campaigns or send it to a customer from the inbox.
